Why Apple Wallet

Reach iPhone customers on the lock screen.

Apple Wallet is built into every iPhone and syncs to Apple Watch. A pass there is always within reach — no app to download, no plastic to carry, no email to dig up.

Instant

One-tap add

Customers add your pass from a link, QR code, email, SMS or website button in a single tap.

Always current

Push updates

Wally re-signs and pushes the pass the moment points, stamps, seats or status change.

Contactless

Apple VAS NFC

Redeem loyalty, tickets and access with a tap on a VAS-certified NFC reader — or scan the barcode.

Engaging

Change messages

Show a lock-screen message when a pass updates, so customers notice new points or perks.

How it works

Live on Apple Wallet in three steps.

1

Design your pass

Build your template in the Wally dashboard — logo, colours, strip image, fields and barcode or NFC. Wally generates the signed .pkpass for you.

2

Distribute the “Add to Apple Wallet” link

Share your pass link by QR code, email, SMS, your website or checkout. Wally issues a personal, signed pass for every customer.

3

Update, notify and measure

Push balance and status changes to saved passes through the dashboard or API, and track adds, removals and redemptions in real time.

The problem we solve

Apple Wallet without the integration work.

The challenge
Building Apple Wallet passes yourself means a Pass Type ID, signing certificates that expire, .pkpass packaging, and a web service to register devices and push updates.
With Wally
Wally manages certificates, signing, device registration and push updates, so your team designs passes in a dashboard or issues them with one API call.
The challenge
Supporting iPhone and Android usually means two separate wallet projects, two designs and two sets of customer data.
With Wally
One Wally template issues both an Apple Wallet pass and a Google Wallet pass, with a single link that serves the right wallet on every device.
Capabilities

Built for the full Apple Wallet pass lifecycle.

FAQ

Apple Wallet questions, answered.

Wally issues Apple Wallet store cards for loyalty and stamp programmes, event tickets, coupons, and generic passes for membership cards, access passes and digital business cards. Every pass is a signed .pkpass created from your Wally template.

No. Customers tap “Add to Apple Wallet” from a link, QR code, email, SMS or your website, and the pass is saved straight into Apple Wallet on their iPhone. It also appears on a paired Apple Watch.

Yes. When a points balance, stamp count, seat, tier or expiry date changes, Wally re-signs the pass and sends an update through Apple’s push notification service. The saved pass refreshes automatically and can show a change message on the lock screen.

Yes. Wally passes can be NFC-enabled with Apple Value Added Services (VAS), so customers redeem by holding their iPhone or Apple Watch to a VAS-certified reader. Our store stocks certified readers, including the VTAP100 PRO range.

No. Wally manages the Pass Type ID, signing certificates and certificate renewals, so you can launch Apple Wallet passes without generating or rotating certificates yourself.

The same Wally template issues a Google Wallet pass for Android users. One campaign link detects the device and offers Apple Wallet on iOS and Google Wallet on Android, so you design and manage every pass in one place.
